Probably not for everyone. But let me tell you what my goals were and how it works for that. I have naturally curly hair that I usually blow dry straight. But before I can use my beach vibrator or curling iron, I need to flatten my head a bit to get rid of the natural kinks. Then I turn. Two hair tools (straightening iron and curling iron) are usually plugged in and tangled, which is very annoying. So my goal was to get that down to one device on the days I want to curl my hair. So it's great for just straightening at my roots and then curling up for loose or medium waves. Will I use it to completely straighten all my hair? No, my Chi-Iron is much better suited for that. Are the curls as perfect as my beach waver? No, but pretty close and I think it gets better with practice. So I think it's a nice gadget. Now I have this styler, straightener, and beach curler combo depending on the day and need. It would be great for travel. I'd probably rather keep my hair straight or take this combo and do all the waves just to be able to take one styler with me.
