As a person who uses the traditional purse design, I was a little hesitant to try this type of purse. But after nearly a month of use, the thinness of the wallet made me a convert. The grip hole for easy access to the top card is very practical. I used a rubber band on my wallet to hold various papers (receipts, notes, etc.). It's reliable enough that I don't lose anything, but noticeable enough that I regularly remove scraps of paper. Overall I love the attention to detail in the design of this wallet.
