To stay updated! External SSDs

Advertised as 2TB capacity on OWC and Revain website Standard Engine: 4 x 500GB* OWC Mercury Extreme Pro 6G SSD, Limited Edition Black Drive Solid State Drives**(* 1 GB = 1,000,000,000 bytes Total available capacity varies depending on operating environment (typically 5-10% less. Actual total capacity depends on your own file settings/preferences.) (**OWC reserves the right to substitute an equivalent or better to replace or upgrade to a component.) I have 4 x 480GB SSDs; my basic math shows it's 80GB less than advertised. The above disclaimers are not on the Revain page. I used the for this article Paid full price and expected 2TB (2000GB) no less!I have to accept that at OWC but Revain has some work to do to advertise product specs accurately.

Pros
  • External SSDs
Cons
  • Minor issues
