Review on Stansport 766 Saddle Bag by Sam Davenport

Looks cooler than nylon bags!

That's very cool! They fit my old Kawi 250 body perfectly. I tied them to the load hooks and they stay in place. Problems: Each bag has a D-ring to tie them together. This is necessary if you intend to drive on the highway, otherwise the bags will flap and flutter in the wind. The problem is this. While the D-ring on one bag faces the front of the bike and can be attached to a lift handle or frame, the second D-ring isn't as well placed. The second ring faces the back of the bike and you have nothing to tie it to. I would recommend building some grommets into the tarp to keep things secure. As a final thought, I would recommend smearing the junk out of the tarp before attaching it to the bike. I've had mine for a month or two now and the canvas has suffered from constant exposure. The color fades fairly quickly in the Southern California sun. Canvas processing would help a lot.
