Bought a pair of these when some of the overstressed tendons in my knees decided they needed a vacation on the day I was out solo. I went from barely being able to walk to limping but agile in a matter of seconds, and within hours I was feeling much better. I slept in a corset one night and the compression and stabilization did the trick; The next day I almost jumped again. I've since dropped one or both of these when my knees flared up and each time the application has been easy and the relief almost instantaneous. My only comment is that I would like the attachment straps to be a bit longer at the top of the brace. For a ex-swimmer, ex-dancer, ex-runner with hips like mine, I'd need an extra inch or two to secure these braces in complete comfort; Most people, including those who are overweight or have strong muscles, will find them well suited. I highly recommend it as an inexpensive, strong, well-constructed orthosis that supports without restriction and compresses without damage or discomfort.
