These bookends are not only aesthetically appealing, but they are also exceedingly functional which is what you want. I chose the brown for a natural look and I’m very pleased. They are tumbled, natural river rocks and extremely heavy. I got mine hoping they would be heavy enough to hold vinyl records and they are! Currently they are holding 50-60 albums on a table under my TV and they look so much more stylish than old crusty record crates I was still using from my teens in the 80’s (LOL). Another thing I like about them is that they can be placed vertically or horizontally depending on preference or how much stability is needed. With my albums, I placed them vertically to handle more weight. I definitely plan on buying more for my bookshelf because they’re so pretty I want to place some horizontally so they can be seen better!
