This hair straightening comb does okay. Not my favorite straightening product by far, though. I have really thick, coarse, heavy-bodied hair that just needs something more aggressive than the straightening this comb can offer. For one thing, the lack of resistance forcing my hair to be flat (like inside of a flat iron) seems to leave a lot of hair still fluffy and not compressed. Because my hair is so thick, it takes me either a ton of passes or a zillion sections to get it all with this comb which, while large, still seems to hold less than a section of straight iron would.I think this is actually a great product and I can definitely see it being effective on finer hair or hair that is not coarse/thick when taken as a whole, but on my particular type of hair, I didn't find it as effective as I'd hoped. However, I concede that this could be my lack of technique, since I am not very familiar with this particular type of straightening comb product - if you're more skilled at using this type of straightener, I think you'll appreciate it more. It does have a super rapid heat up, consistent temperature maintenance, long work time, auto shut off, and was comfortable and easy to hold and work with. For that reason, it still gets 4 stars even though it didn't necessarily work out for me.
