No, it's not the end of the world as you knew canisters.

The Environmental Protection Agency and other organizations have done everything to protect us from ourselves. So now you have almost impossible siphoning into canisters due to the insertion of a muzzle flash suppressor; If you work at it and don't disturb a very slow flow, it can be done - but not like it used to be when you just stick the pump nozzle in the hole and squeeze the handle. If you don't mind exposing yourself to (obviously) mortal risk, this piece of plastic will come out with a little effort and needle-nosed pliers attached to one of the reinforcing and constricting buttresses inside. Grab and pull and he's gone. On the other hand, you can now also put a watertight nozzle in the hole, which was not possible before. Apparently the scepter wanted you to keep the attachment attached at all times to make it easier to stumble or grab something. Without cap. If you don't mind leaving the spout attached, you can rush them if they want to send you a cap. But if you do (or take one from another, now defunct jar) you can remove the spout and cap as before. All of this suggests that I like this spout more than any other non-shedding spout. I experienced; It's a nice big shelf to put the trigger on and it's easy to activate and flows well. If you like the way, this is a durable and affordable canister. If you like, you can detach and cap the nozzle (no rain from the spout!) and feel free to tip it up and stand it on the ledge, certainly without those inhibitions looking like a Canadian model, but with a leak-proof, easy-to-use nozzle .
