I bought this thermometer after using another wireless thermometer and was very disappointed with it. I've just used it on my first cook and found it perfect for the temperature, the alarm clock works great on my phone (the device itself beeps too) and while I've only scratched the surface of the chart I can say it does will be fantastic for long cook times my only problem was connecting it to my wifi. The trick was to disable 5GHz completely and only set it to 2GHz. Then I was finally able to connect it to my wifi. Once the device is connected to Wi-Fi and the internet, you can follow your chef from anywhere with coverage.
