This is a very nice light, brilliant white but not too bright. It works with a dimmer which is an added bonus. I learned a lesson or two installing this light. First use wall anchors on the ends of the base plate, this is the plate that will be attached to the ceiling and above the electrical box first. This light is too heavy for the flimsy mount to hold without its help. Trust me, you'll regret it if you don't and try to get by without an anchor, or if you happen to find a stud, screw a screw into the ends. Because of this literally five minutes after installation I had to take mine back down and use the anchors, this light is so heavy it actually came off the ceiling and bent the ceiling mount. Wear a pair of rubber gloves when working with any part of the light or you will leave fingerprints on the chrome and glass parts. The inner bubble jar is actually glass and the outer lid is also glass. Be careful installing the screws that go into the sides of the inner glass tubes, they don't actually screw into the glass and need to go into the pre-drilled holes in the glass, they just hang on the screws like pins. The outer glass lids have rubber grommets, so only hand tighten the screws lightly, but not so tight that the grommets are pushed out. We used this light to replace a 3 bulb pendant light that had 3 LED bulbs and this light is brighter but the light is more focused down than around it. The way the LED shines through the bubble glass tubes looks very attractive and modern. I hope my experience with it will help you, we are very happy with it.
