We usually get real trees, but in recent years we've had bad luck with live trees that have dried up almost immediately. This is a good quality tree at a price somewhere between cheap live trees in large department stores and expensive in independent lots. It looks full and not a single plastic pin fell off while I was setting it up. (That's one of the problems with the really cheap ones.) If you remember old school trees where a hundred little colored branches had to be sorted and placed in the right slots, you'll appreciate the articulated design and the thing is, it consists of only 2 parts. You'll have to spend a little time relaxing and smoothing out all the knots, but that's part of the fun. I set up ours in about 30 minutes. This is a beautiful tree, needles of natural color. We bought the 4.5" because we have pets and the large trees tend to end up on the floor or be used as a bathroom. We put a small tree on a low table and when everything is decorated, it takes on the appearance of a large tree with no problem. I can't see why anyone would be dissatisfied with this tree. However, almost any tree can look beautiful when fully decorated, so if you're worried about which tree to buy to buy, don't worry if it's a cheaper, bigger or more expensive tree, every tree can make your holiday special.
