Review on 🎧 Enhanced Connectivity with Plantronics Explorer 110 Bluetooth Wireless Headset - Retail Packaging by Jason Hymon

Good sound but feels and looks cheap. Not your typical Plantronics device!

I love Plantronics BT devices. When my PLT-165 died I wanted another one but couldn't find it. I bought this PLT E100 because it was about the same size and could sit in the ear without the extra hooks. Sound quality is good, however, it behaves a bit strange when connecting to devices, especially when connected to two devices at the same time. Connected to Zoom on my iPad and received a call on my cell phone. At first I didn't hear the call. You need to manually reconnect to BT to hear the call. Then, back at the Zoom meeting, I had to turn BT off and on again for it to stream audio, despite saying I was connected to an iPad. Strange! It's much lighter (weight) than the PLT-165 and feels like it's made out of cheap plastic. The on/off button is very tight, which is annoying. If it's already in my ear, sometimes I have to take it out again to turn it on or off. It also doesn't like to sit in my ear like the PLT-165 does. The headphone is the same as the other model, so I think it has something to do with the weight difference. I can solve all these little problems. My biggest problem is that the battery doesn't last as it should. It will tell me I have 7 hours of talk time, but it's dead in about 4 hours or less. It does charge quickly, but that doesn't help when I'm on the go. I have to be careful to make sure it's fully charged before I run out or it might not last long. It wasn't expensive. It has good sound quality. But this is the first Plantronics headset I've used (in over 25 years of using Plantronics devices) that I wasn't happy with. It looks like a Plantronics device, but it definitely doesn't work or feel like it! I will not replace it, but I will definitely not buy another model of this model. I noticed that they appended a different name to the Plantronics name on their website. I wonder if they were bought out or attached to another company? If so, that's probably why this BT was so disappointing.
