Review on Optimum 20604 Hyper Compound Fluid_Ounces by Timothy Bobbert

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The composition is good - the sprayer is useless

I will split this review into two parts - the product itself and the sprayer. Compound -- I bought this product because I like most Optimum products (Opti-seal is great!) and I was looking for an easy-to-use compound to remove wet 3000 grit sand stains on car paint. This product was excellent for this purpose. It's not a heavy rock-in-a-bottle mix. I'd call it a mid-cut - depending on what pillow you're using, of course. I have used a medium sized Lake Country cutting board on a 7424XP PC and had no problems. The composition was easy to apply, had a fairly long working time, gave very good results and was easy to remove. So five stars. spray. One of the proposed benefits of this formulation is its ability to be sprayed out of a bottle. This should take the guesswork out of how much connection to use. Well, it would be great if the atomizer didn't clog every five seconds like mine does. In fact, the sprayer was useless. No matter how hard I shook the bottle to mix the product, the atomizer was still clogged. I just think the compound is too thick to spray effectively. I ended up removing the atomizer and using a few drops from the bottle. You know, something like hitting a target? The result is five stars for the medium cut blend and zero stars for the vaporizer. Four stars overall because I don't want to ruin a good product with a crappy atomizer. I'll put a cap on the bottle and go with it the next time I need to use a mix.
