I bought these switches for my daughter GE under a cabinet microwave that worked with the door open. After the power cord was disconnected, I loosened the top two screws holding the vent in place, then moved the vent slightly to the left to remove it. I then loosened the single screw holding the control panel and lifted it to free it from the case. I then removed the two screws securing the door switch assembly and pulled them out to access the three switches. The bottom switch was defective as the small button did not make an audible click when pressed. I used a small screwdriver to pry open the plastic stopcock and remove the switch. I then disconnected the two wires and installed the new switch, making sure it snapped into place. Reinstall the two cables and reassemble the door switch assembly, control module and top vent in reverse order. Success within 30 minutes or less. There are several videos on YouTube that will walk you through this repair and save you at least $100. As previously mentioned, unplug the microwave or unplug the circuit breaker as the switches are constantly powered by 110 volts. Also, don't touch the capacitor (a cylindrical silver object with two wires) as it can hit or even kill you if the power goes out.
