You get what you pay for

I bought this in January of this year and it's already dead. Without opening it I know that when I connect the three prong cable I hear a small spark and click was. To me that means it was slightly shorted out. They offer you a generous chance of less than 2 months to return the device. Buy it if you absolutely need it, but with a protection plan.
