The material is very comfortable, not thin at all. I recommend you turn these skirts inside out to steam iron or cover them with a damp cloth or towel otherwise you will get a very ugly shine. If you have glitter on a skirt or pair of pants, simply wipe them off with a damp cloth and turn inside out or inside out and iron. This worked for me, but if this doesn't work for you, try a rinse cycle. I haven't tumble dried mine so I don't know if it's safe. I'm 5ft 1in, 112lbs, 31 waist fits snug but not uncomfortable, 36 hips and they fit me perfectly, neither tight nor loose and the material stretches a bit. I bought 3 dainty skirts, navy blue, maroon and grey. The navy and maroon are mid-knee while the gray are an inch shorter. The zippers on the navy and maroon require a little extra effort to close the seam at the waist, but so far I'm loving these skirts.
