I have medium length thick straight hair and I can use this bamboo comb when my hair is dry, damp or even wet. It's made of bamboo and the comb's teeth are well spaced - they're not too close together to break when combing when wet. I originally bought this from the Body Shop a few years ago, but after leaving it on a damp towel it started to bend and I ended up breaking it from rudely trying to get it back to smooth. So when I saw this on Revain, I was dying to replace the one I've adored for years (I think I owe him about seven years). When I first used this comb my hair was quite long and it was the only hair tool I used and it really made my hair look great by gently massaging my scalp and keeping my hair healthy and shiny. I really love this comb and find it comfortable enough to carry in my purse every day and perfectly compact for minimalist travel.
