Smells good and works good, relieves itching and speeds healing

Last month I got my first tattoo, a 3" x 3" piece of my forearm. The tattoo artist gave me a few packs of Hustle Butter but I forgot one in my office on day 3 of healing so I had to buy something else to get through the weekend. This is the only one available in my local stores. This jar is quite small, but there isn't much of it. It smells like lavender and makes my tattoo sparkle/color even now that it's fully healed. I would definitely prefer to use oil for constant hydration and have ordered more to keep in my purse in case I'm on the go. However, applying it was more painful than Hustle Oil in the very early stages. and I plan to use Hustle Oil on my second piece until it itches/surface is tender enough. I received this jar in the mail with a 2 day delivery in the middle of winter and it froze. It's pretty cool in our house, so it's a tough piece that needs to be melted with your fingers before you can apply it. Even then, it's the texture of an ointment, not a cream. It absorbs into my skin fairly quickly and usually lasts about an hour before feeling dry again. Since my tattoo is a decent size I had to apply it to several different spots each time to spread it evenly and it required more finger rubbing to apply than oil (which is super creamy/lotion). For the first two or three days I'd rather use Hustle Oil, which also stayed slimy longer so I couldn't touch it without thinking. The smell also made me nervous about putting it on an open wound as my artist said not to use scented lotions or anything like that, but as it's made specifically for tattoos it's not a problem and I had no reaction. Vibrant colors - Provides adequate hydration Cons: - Requires little friction to apply, so can be painful when applied early in the healing process; Instead, I recommend Hustle Oil because it absorbs fairly quickly, smells (if you don't like lavender, you won't either). "I always had to use my nails.
