I bought this speaker specifically because it is listed as supporting "Home Party Pairing" so I can pair it with my other Altec Lansing speakers that support pairing for house parties. This speaker does NOT have this feature, but has a "True Wireless Pairing" feature. I think the speaker works fine. I turned it on and tested it and it sounds good. Then when I tried pairing it with my Soundbucket XL I had no luck. I dug deep on the internet to find out what the deal was as this particular product listing says multiple times that this speaker has the ability to pair with any other device that allows House Party Pairing. I was a bit confused until I guessed something and looked at the packaging of the product. The box itself was originally printed with the words "Pairing House Party," but then a sticker was placed over the words printed on the box that said, "True Wireless Pairing." Shady. So friends. The IMW790L-BLK I received does NOT have a house party pairing. I don't know if ALL the speakers are the same with this model or not but I feel like it was a waste of time. And now I have to deal with the hassle of returning a speaker that I technically didn't order and can't use. Aggravating.
