I have used my SereneLife Smart Automatic Robotic to clean ceramic tile, 1/4 inch thick carpets and area rugs. perimeter wall. Overall I like this little robot. I like to let him run around the house while I do other things. It works best on hard floors and picks up sand and dust. While I didn't expect it to perform as well on carpet, it picks up a lot of pet hair and leaves the carpet noticeably cleaner. The robot works really well on hard floors. On all surfaces he drives normally through the room. unless they are interrupted by dangers such as the blow described. It collects all the smallest dirt and particles. I have cats that leave food crumbs and walk barefoot on tile, I can usually feel all of these crumbs. annoys. After the passage of the robot, all the crumbs will disappear. I like it! Although I don't have a ladder to test edge detection, I once noticed that the robot mistook the dark tile grout for the edge. When it came to mortars, he turned around. He also avoided this "edge" on subsequent passes. However, later runs correctly ignored the solution. This only happened once. The robot also finds its way on the carpet. Slows down a bit but keeps going. When changing from hard floor to carpet, the robot's bumper can catch on the edge and turn over. In most cases, however, it can climb over the edge of the carpet. I actually put up barriers to keep the robot in a room, but the robot is strong enough to knock some barriers (an empty box) out of the way. It leaves brush marks on the carpet and I can see where it was. Thus, it cleans the top of the carpet but does not perform a deep cleaning. This was to be expected as there was no such indication in the product description. I'm surprised how much cat hair he removes from the carpet. I still have to wipe the carpet with a conventional vacuum cleaner, but the robot will reduce the number of such actions. However, robot vacuums are not fully automatic and you may need to do some prep work in your home. . For example, shoelaces and cords for shoes tie the brushes to clean the edges. You should pick up loose strings. Other things that can tie the robot include socks, blankets, and curtains to drape across the floor. I've found that edge brushes wear out faster when used on carpet. This way you can remove the brushes before placing the robot on the carpet. And that makes sense, because edge brushes are more effective on hard floors. The edge brushes move quite slowly, they only distribute the dirt. They casually sweep the particles towards the center of the robot, where they are picked up by a roller brush and vacuum suction. As other reviewers have pointed out, the robot doesn't do a B-line for the charging dock. He seems to feel his way along the walls. He also wants to make the right turns around the walls. So if he hits the wall in the middle of the room, he can run in circles for a long time. Eventually, when he is within infrared range of the base, he will land. It looks like the home base is emitting infrared radiation which the robot is tracking. I think that's why the instructions recommend placing it in a place without strong light that can blur infrared radiation. The remote control is also infrared. This works well enough if you can see the robot. However, if the robot gets lost where you can't see it, the remote control won't help you find it. I was hoping that I could press a button on the remote control to get the robot to make a sound that I could follow. It's not perfect, but it's really good. I'm very satisfied with this product. I highly recommend it.
