Delivery was lightning fast. I tried a trial pack of two pairs of these banana plugs to see if they would suit my needs. The design of these forks is excellent. The design was exactly what I wanted because the speaker wire is attached with TWO set screws. I then ordered an additional six pairs of connectors to connect the subwoofer to my amplifier and speakers. to my bookshelf speakers.) I like the security of the two set screws on each connector and like the barrel that screws in AFTER the wire is secured with set screws. Most banana plugs have a hole in the stem of the plug for the bare wire to pass through. The barrel cap is then screwed on to secure the wire in the connector. This design compresses the speaker wire, but eventually the cap loses its grip and allows the connection between the wire and connector to loosen. Then the audio transmission will be bad and the speakers will sound bad. Every month or two I had to check all the banana plugs and re-tighten many of them for better performance. Two set screws eliminate this problem. The set screws are quite small and require special care during installation. You will need a small flathead screwdriver to tighten them. I used a 1/8" flathead screwdriver from a jeweler's screwdriver set. These well-made end caps are a bit more expensive than many of the banana plugs available, but certainly not the most expensive end caps. For me, a little more expensive was made by the security of the cable in the plug more than made up for it.. I'm not happy about the tip of the plugs being too tight in the sockets.(Ox-Gard, No-Corrode, etc. DO NOT use other lubes) Next time I'll use pliers to grip the pin The spring pins that fit into the socket are very snug and the plugs are only sold in quantities of two pairs up to 12.
