Another great book on knitting Cascade

Classic Elite is one of my favorite yarns. I love her books too. They just published a new book, Classic Elite Quick Knits: 100 Fabulous Patterns for Wraps, Socks, Hats, and More (Classic Elite Yarns). There are patterns for hats, mittens, gloves, scarves, hoods, cloaks, shawls, capes, blankets, bags and toys. I love that the book provides thread changing information so you can use whatever thread you want and not have to use Classic Elite. Here are some of my favorite patterns. HATS: I like the Lacy Hat, a mid-range project. It is knitted on size 6 needles and is finished in classic white. lattice rib hat, also in classic white, designed for advanced knitters. The lattice pattern is tied with pigtails and the top of the cap is ribbed. The Montera hat in a beautiful shade of blue is designed for intermediate knitters. This is a lace pattern except for the initial ribbing. Fresco Beaumont is an advanced two-tone grey-white yarn. The canape hat is adorable and just right for beginner knitters. It has a dark blue color and is mainly knitted in garter stitch. My favorite hat is the thistle hat, another project for intermediate knitters. It's a beautiful shade of blue and cords are woven into the elastic. MITTS: Soft, multi-colored mittens make a great pair. They are suitable for advanced knitters, but I think only those experienced in two-tone knitting should try them. The mittens are kept in a beautiful shade of yellow and integrate the braids into the pattern. Again, these are for advanced knitters. SOCKS All orange-red colored socks have ribs and cables and are designed for advanced knitters. The green leggings are perfect to wear over pants on cold days. They are knitted in light green. SHOULDERS, SCARVES Buttoned shawls are beautifully finished in a beautiful blue lace pattern, again for advanced knitters. The leaf scarf is one of my favorite patterns. It is tied in a beautiful moss green and works like a necklace. This silky alpaca lace scarf is a real treasure. It's tied in pink, which is definitely not my shade, but it's easy to change. It's all great and listed as an interim project. Bridgewater is a nice top project listed as intermediate but seems more experienced to me. It is crocheted from classic white alpaca and silk. Yum!BLANKETS, BAGS, TOYS The 36" x 54" Forbidden Swaddle Blanket is crocheted in a classic off-white zigzag pattern. Just perfect for the cold days. Wired baby blanket in beautiful white, measures 35" x 35". Listed as an easy project, the Basketweave Blanket is perfect for toddlers or babies in its soft green color. I like the solar bag. It's listed as an intermediate, but all the color changes make it a more advanced project. The frog in the paint box will bring a smile to most children's faces. Of course it's green. All in all I love this book. I chose the examples I liked best and then went through the book again.
