I bought one for home and connected to a DID SIP provider. (Callcentric) Setup was relatively easy and the phone works well. Some of the SNOM firmware updates hit or miss. In addition, these phones have many features that are supported by the SIP provider. If you already have a SIP telephony server, be sure to check the feature and codec compatibility with the call server and how it affects your current network bandwidth usage. Wrong codec selection, hardware compatibility, or insufficient network bandwidth will result in echo, poor voice quality, missed calls, etc. If you are implementing SIP for the first time, you should also get your own hardware and test it on your network. for a few weeks without removing the existing system and plan to upgrade switches and routers to support QOS. In many cases, it's not the hardware that's to blame, it's the implementation. (Example: A previous employer invested in Cisco phones but already had Avaya call servers that he committed to purchase. Due to compatibility, codecs, and bandwidth, it took him over a year to resolve call quality issues, and at a large corporate IT department. They're still having intermittent problems due to the same compatibility issues.)
