Review on DLO TransPod All Solution White by Nicholas Serafini

This transmitter is a great all-in-one solution: it charges, keeps my iPod in one place while I drive and to be honest the sound quality is unbelievable good. Based on previous experiences with other lower quality devices I really thought I would never have a good experience with an FM transmitter for my iPod. Now that I've heard how good the sound is, I'm really glad I bought this unit. No matter how high or low the volume is on the iPod, this device somehow streams the sound with a volume, so you use the car stereo to adjust the volume, bass, treble, etc. I found this useful as I've always tried manipulating car volume with iPod volume and equalizer settings in the past with other devices. Nevertheless, the price-performance ratio is right - great sound. One star deducted from this rating as the device itself is quite bulky and expensive. Aside from mounting it on the dash (not an option), I need to connect it directly to the cigarette lighter. The lighter arm is about 6 inches long and a bit bulky with the iPod holder block attached. It flexes and can stay in place, but still interferes with shifting. The price, well, all iPod accessories seem overpriced, so I shouldn't be surprised. Having said that, I have to say that this is a small price to pay for such great sound quality.
