There is a catastrophic shortage of sockets in my small office. I used three separate power strips to keep everything plugged in because of those pesky "warts on the wall" covering more than one outlet. The 10-outlet strip places the outlets further apart and vertically aligns the transformers at the ends of the cord so they don't block adjacent outlets. By the way, I'm not worried about overloading circuits since I mostly connect computer peripherals that don't usually work at the same time. Basically, it's a convenient way to avoid changing cables.
