Useful but not very accurate
Easily catches rope and helps define class - we used this to grade our garden to ensure proper water flow. However, I found that I get a slightly different reading when I rotate the device 180 degrees. However, I would recommend it as an inexpensive line level for home use - with the average of the two orientations it was still usable even on a fairly flat slope.
