Smooth connections and well made.
I've tried so many different needles but have decided to go with stainless steel for most projects. These cables don't really "twist" or twist at the joints, which I prefer for larger projects. Connections are smooth, although incredibly well made. I haven't had any quality issues, I used straight out of the box!
