These should be replaced every five years. Ours was much older. This was cheaper than those available at our local RV supply stores. They are easy to replace. If you have an RV, make sure your unit is less than five years old and replace it if it's older. Not that expensive and you can install it yourself without having to take the car to a workshop. This is one of those security devices that needs constant updating.
