I play euro style board games - games with lots of "bits" - meeples etc. we're talking about Ticket to Ride, Power Grid, Carcassonne, Tikal, Alhambra, Settlers of Catan, Machi Koro, Pirates Cove etc etc - if you have kids aged 8 to adults this is great family fun! My newest favorite game is Scythe, which I bought before Christmas. We play it every week when we can with my sons (now 27 and 25 - they've been playing these games since they were 10)) and girlfriends. I like the game, but it definitely has a lot of "details". These boxes are the perfect size for storing "bits" for each "faction" in the game (maybe 20 meeples and various other bits) - there are 7 of them (including the upgrade) and the dot boxes fit with others into the box stuff. I learned about dotted things from another of my hobbies - chain mail jewelry - I use dotted boxes to hold many different sizes of jump rings. Yes, there are cheaper options, but they are well made, close securely, and last a long time. Good product!
