I have a lot of experience with soldering, but other users have stated that if one of the leads gets hot enough to melt the solder, the insulator is already broken. I even went so far as to tin the leads and let everything cool completely before attaching the tinned wire. When the job was done, all of the connectors spun freely on the crumpled insulator, resulting in an intermittent connection. If you need a reliable connection, look elsewhere. I should have listened to other reviewers.
