I bought these monitors because I wanted something reliable with its own screen (so you don't have to rely on your phone and can keep an eye on your baby all the time). I chose Motorola because I thought they had a good reputation, but these monitors let me down. We bought 2 at first (1 for each child) and from day one one didn't fit on the screen. We did everything the troubleshooting page told us and it never worked. The second shot worked normally at first, but then the range became shorter and shorter. We live in a three-story house with a children's room on the top floor. I used to be in the basement and the screen still connected showing the baby. Now if I'm anywhere but right in front of the kindergarten, it won't connect. And just recently (yesterday) the camera stopped working fully. I've only had this product for a few months. This is the second expensive baby monitor we've bought (the first was the SmartBeat which I also do NOT recommend) and I'm really disappointed. The only thing parents want from monitors is reliability, and I haven't found that yet. Instead, we just switched to using Wyze security cameras (2 for $40), and they work just as well, if not better, despite requiring your phone and a Wi-Fi connection.
