Review on 🍴 Hamilton Beach 4-Cup Mini Food Processor & Vegetable Chopper, High-Powered 250 Watts, for Effortless Slicing, Shredding, and Pureeing, Sleek Black (70510) by Erick Roby

Good, powerful, slices thinly

I looked at 2-3 cup food processors but settled on this one in the end. I'm glad I did. I don't think less than 4 cups will do for much. I used this to make hummus and 1 can of bush beans and a bag of bush hummus almost made it full! When using a cutting blade, a fairly thin slice is obtained. I used it to cut peppers (the top feed hole is very small [2 1/2" x 1" hole) so I had to cut it into strips). Instead of rolling them which can be a tedious job as I buy them on sale and freeze them after rolling. The results were reasonably acceptable, but the incision was too thin. That might be fine for pepperoni if you could fit a whole pepperoni in the serving hole, but it's too small so you'll have to cut it in half or maybe even quarter it. When I cut the peppers, I didn't even get a chance to "press" them with the pusher. This device is so powerful, it sucks them up and slices them up so fast you almost couldn't see the action - nice to see! All in all, I would recommend this device for small jobs. I wouldn't recommend the smaller size unless you intend to use it for VERY small items.

Pros
  • 4 cup capacity
Cons
  • sad packaging
