so my feet are very picky when it comes to shoes. They are very cute and I am very sad that the buckle the strap goes through is rubbing my ankle. Even with similarly priced Teva designs, my ankle has never worked with them either. The Soul was very soft (like the Chaco in 2010) and the grip looked good. Didn't support my high arch as well as I would have liked, but I felt it was enough that most shoes (even Merrel or Tevas ones) don't claim to provide arch support. But unfortunately I knew that if they are already chafing at the ankle then they are definitely not suitable for hiking etc. So unfortunately I will be returning it.
