The leather is good, the buckle is a weak link.
The first two straps, one black and the other brown, are made of high quality leather. It loses its shape within a year if it gets wet at the slightest rain. Buckle weak leakage. For such good leather, extra effort should have been made to ensure a quality buckle was available. This belt is better than any JCPenney product.
