Review on Felpro MS 98014 Intake Manifold by Keize Barraza

FOR L67 OWNERS CONFUSED BY O-RING DIMENSIONS OF THE UPPER AND LOWER FUEL INJECTOR rings on my 2001 Regal GS (with supercharged "L67" GM 3800 Series II engine as an option ). After examining the old o-rings, I found that the top pieces were exactly the same size as the bottom pieces (as stated on several owner forums). I ordered this shim kit direct from Revain (not a 3rd party) in January 2020; Several customer reviews and responses seemed to indicate that all 12 o-rings were included. This is NOT the case for my engine. In addition, a pack of 6 black o-rings was included which perfectly matched all 12 top and bottom o-rings I had. But the kit also included 1 pack of 6 slightly thinner black o-rings. -Rings. At first I thought these thinner 6s were compatible due to some sort of engineering tweak, but the packaging said only 1 set was for fuel injectors. The Fel-Pro support rep couldn't figure out what the thinner 6s were for (his system didn't work). they are not even shown as part of the kit, great job by the Fel-Pro recording department!); He said he's been with Fel-Pro for 18 years and has almost never seen kits with top o-rings since the injectors usually stay connected to the fuel rail. He suspected the thinner 6's were lower o-rings for a different engine option. After poking around other auto parts retailers' websites, I found that you (at least for me) need to buy two packs of Fel-Pro "ES". 70599" to get the correct size remaining 6 o-rings. These can all be seen in the photos accompanying my review. I'm hoping to give someone some confusion, frustration and possibly a fuel leak and one Engine burn saved.The rest of the kit is as good as I've come to expect from Fel-Pro as follows.Some bits are definitely intended for other variants of the engine so don't worry if you don't recognize something.
