Compared to the online shop "Household appliance parts" a good deal. All of them cost $20+. Unfortunately, after replacing this thermostat and heating element, I still have no hot water or dry dishes. I checked both new parts with a multimeter before and after installation - they are OK. It appears that one or more relays on the control board have failed. So I ordered a new control board. Note: I replaced the element and thermostat after realizing the old element was in two parts! I suspect that the element's combustion has deactivated the relay(s).
