to keep them from soaking in water

Within 1 week of use, water has seeped into the wood and surface causing large cracks and splits. This has happened to me with other brushes with wooden handles, but only after years of use. It was literally 5 days. I also wash and dry my brushes after each use so they don't get waterlogged. Also, some of the tips of the brushes began to twist. Returns are not worth the hassle but I will never buy these brushes again.

I think paying for brushes, you get what you pay for. Unfortunately, I am disappointed.
