These are used on the WR250R to attach it to the hitch. I used loop straps that went around the top fork on a triple clamp, but they had to be threaded through the fork and didn't snag as easily when balancing the bike after loading. This makes it much easier to attach the ratchet straps after loading. They also reduce the flex in the attachment system compared to loop straps, allowing the bike to be more stable on the rack when on the road.
