Review on 🔌 Rugged Ridge 11251.04 Soft Top Quick Disconnect Kit: Perfect Fit for 07-12 Jeep Wrangler JKU by Steven Lane

Additionally this would be a great no hassle replacement for the expensive cheap OEM plastic Mopar nose brace knuckle on the Jeep JK. It's a good solid construction, the pin is just the right size so there's no play when it's all together with the added o-rings. But you'd think that with all the attention paid to the design, the QA folks might have noticed that the screw holes are so misaligned that you have to try and lengthen the holes another 1/8 just to screw them in. I personally don't think I had to change my bow brace to make it work. Maybe I just got a poor quality batch, but I will return this batch and try another one. I will update after the 2nd batch arrives. UPDATE 5-16-16: I got my replacement units and they were worse than the first ones I got. They still didn't fit in the support arch's screw hole (again, 1/8th less) and the pin was so tight I had to knock it out of the decoupler. Needless to say, it didn't fit at all. I was really hoping to have the same luck as some of the other reviewers, but I guess I shouldn't have. I will be returning them and hoping the Rugged Ridge will be in the Jeep JKU so they can get the part right to actually fit without drilling, grinding or hammering to make it fit.
