I used PVC [CONICAL] pipe thread fittings. Use [ONLY] yellow gas tube [thicker] Teflon tape. Do not use pipe lubricant in addition to the tape. will run worse. I made that mistake on my new 60 gallon air compressor tank [ahh!]. 15 fittings. Wrap 3 times with tape. no leaks; Period. The PVC will shrink as it is screwed into the brass. there will be no metal on metal! Make sure the fitting does not hit the body before it is fully tightened. Trim off the excess at the end if so. That's where all the leaks come from, or you may have used straight threads instead of tapered pipe thread fittings. People throw the wrong fixtures in the wrong bins, etc. It's all about the details. month 2; no leaks!
