I bought this steering wheel cover after consistently burning my hands on extremely hot surfaces like the steering wheel over the summer here in Arizona where it's typically over 100F and the car gets even hotter , when parked . outside all day. The lid does get warm, but not nearly so hot that it hurts when driving. It took a little over a month for the cover to start losing its elasticity and loosening, but at under $10 I wouldn't mind buying 2 at a time. The color holds up well and is easy to apply. If anyone is looking for a cheap handlebar cover to protect their hands from extreme heat, this is it.
