This thing is amazing! Seriously, just understand. My cat immediately fell in love with this scratching post (and the cat wall we installed). She can stretch out fully on it, climb up and down, sit on it and even scratch while sitting. However, the bare top is slippery, so we added traction. We got three free rug samples from the hardware store, glued them together at the bottom, and then added velcro. Bam, perfect little clutch. Also, I would recommend buying anchor bolts for this instead of the anchors included in the kit. If you don't have a drill bolt, the lever anchors will work just fine in your drywall and hold the scratching post and your cats. You'll need a 1/2" hole for installation, but it's easy to putty if you're renting like us and not worried about the scraper not holding the weight!
