This preamp offers good value for what you pay for. I was able to connect my Samsung Tab S6 to a DAC which is then connected to a preamp. The pre-out goes to the Bluetooth transmitter. This configuration works well with one problem. If you turn the knob to medium volume, you may hear a faint buzzing sound. The only way to fix this is to press the volume knob a little higher or lower. As far as tube sound goes, by default tubes produce a nice, accurate sound. However, it doesn't produce the warm, tube-like sound that people want. Switching to the recommended GE tubes can solve this problem as they produce a nice warm tone and sound "tube-like" enough.
