The camera is lightweight and easy for a child to carry. I love the features it must have to be able to change the boundaries of the shot being taken and the selfie camera takes amazingly clear shots. It's pretty durable, I've been playing with it for 3 years and it's still working! However, I warn, even if it says 3 years and older, it's easier for kids 6 and up to change front camera settings and selfie mode, as is changing curbs. You need to look at the instructions as this is not your regular camera. Actually there is no way to understand it. My kid uses the front lens as a peephole, so he uses the selfie mode to take pictures of whatever he wants. This actually works in its favor and the images are not half bad quality. The photographer was the bigger problem. Despite the fact that the controls aren't great for younger kids, I love this camera! It also comes with an SD card, which is even better. Makes it easier not to have to buy it. Battery Life I haven't let it run empty. We played with him for a good 4 hours and he still had a lot of life.
