This case was needed as extra protection for my new iPad keyboard case as it only had a magnetic closure. It takes a bit of a chore to get the case and keyboard together, but once you've got it down it's super solid. There is no chance of the iPad slipping out and getting damaged. If you're concerned about fingerprints, be sure to wear gloves when putting the case on, otherwise you won't be able to access and clean the inside of the case.
