Good microscope for Microscopes

The original microscope I received had broken eyepieces - all eyepieces were broken - but they were quickly replaced and the new one is perfect. So congratulations to the customer service - they were quick and efficient. The eyepieces of the new microscope fit and work perfectly. I have a microscope to check life in our pond and it works for this although I don't have slide covers so I had to buy one to use it effectively and make my own slides. The microscope came with a set of ready made slides to get used to using the microscope and it was a good fun choice. There were also some blank/empty slides, but as I said, there are no slide covers. I've used pond water drop slides with no slide covers and it's doable but not the best. The microscope itself is very well made - mostly made of metal. There is light that shines up from below and light that shines down on the object from the eyepiece area. I can select one light or another with a switch that swings right for the top light and left for the bottom light. The whole set is enclosed in a really nice little case with a handle that protects everything very well. A phone holder is included so I can photograph whatever I'm looking at through the eyepiece. This worked surprisingly well for me. There's also a dropper for preparing slides, as well as a few other small items. All in all, this is really a very good microscope kit. I only deducted one star because the slide covers were missing so that I could use the empty slides immediately to prepare my own with our pond water. This is really a minor complaint and isn't really a problem with the microscope as such.
