Who, what, where to ask questions?

The unit looks well built with large diameter connectors but nothing identifies it as an MES ATS switch, although the manual says it is covered by a 1 year warranty (at the discretion of the manufacturer) there is no manufacturer. Customer Service address or contact number. Ratings are for various combinations of AC or DC 600/1200/2400/5500/11000W based on 2 relays labeled 240VAC 60A / 48VDC 60A relay with 12VDC DC control circuit using a 9-90 VDC battery input test connector. only ROS FC CE label (Chinese export) marked. I think since both load legs L1 L2 are switched by two independent relays, it might seem possible that only one relay fails and the other leg stays on, leaving L1 active from one source and L2 active from the other, or vice versa. They appear to be independent of each other, so there is no guarantee that they will switch in the same instance. Why not use a single relay designed to switch L1 and L2 but in a larger package designed for the purpose and providing safe spacing between the L1 and L2 legs. They open before they close, but are nowhere near the size of a standard switch or contactor rated for that current. I suppose cost is a design factor, but the fact that only one relay can fail seems like a minor issue. Of course I would like to speak to tech support but no contact information is provided. We are discussing whether to keep the device and use it in a smaller project or return the device. Might be suitable for a caravan but skeptical of 240VAC 11kW or 120VAC 5500kW whole house application. We are currently testing the device with a small AC load and an inverter.
