Not comfortable, very ugly!

I did a little research looking for a good pair of shoes for people with plantar fasciitis and came across this shoe. After reading about 30 reviews I decided to try them, I was sure based on the reviews that these shoes would make my feet feel like they were lined with cotton! When I finally received the shoes I was so excited to wear them so I opened the box and immediately thought wow much uglier in person. They look like men's shoes, very square at the front and very ugly overall. I decided that if they were comfortable I would keep them, even if they were very ugly and angular if my feet were comfortable in them. After putting them on I noticed a few things: 1) I felt like the top of the shoe was digging into my toe. At first I thought maybe my laces were too tight, I adjusted them, after adjusting them about 4 times (I pulled the laces out all the way and put them back in on the last try) I realized that this wasn't a problem with the is shoelace, it was a shoe problem. 2) in the back of the shoe, wear the heel and ankles - the shoes are very short below the ankle and I found it very uncomfortable. In addition, the shoe itself was not as comfortable as I had imagined and there was no arch support. Forget exceptional comfort. For me it wasn't even a bit comfortable, it was just a regular casual shoe. I wore them for about 2 hours before deciding I couldn't leave them on. I'm upset about this because now I'm back to square one, I returned the shoes and received a refund.
