I tested this by connecting a docked Nintendo Switch to the DVI port of an HP ZR24w monitor. At first I couldn't get the picture. Wiggled the cables and was about to give up, but then it occurred to me that maybe my monitor wasn't seeing the switch's signal because it was sleeping, so I turned on the controller and pressed the switch's power button, then tried inputs again , and it finally caught fire! (If you are relying on the switcher's ability to change inputs and wake up your "TV" etc., it may not work on the monitor). So do some tinkering before you give up. I was determined to give a bad review. I'm not sure if the image quality leaves something to be desired, or if it's all in my head. I almost feel dizzy. I believe HDMI has all the pins that DVI had, it should be a pretty easy conversion. I just hate giving 5 stars without full confidence, I think it's too common these days. 4 is still a very good score, so I'll stop there.
