Review on ScanGauge SG2 II Ultra Compact 3-in-1 Automotive Computer - Real-Time Fuel Economy Digital Gauges, Black, 5 Inch by Josh Reynolds

I have a ScanGauge 2 in another car and need an extra one for my 2016 Subaru WRX. I checked the ScanGauge website to make sure the ScanGauge is valid for my vehicle. I was interested in the EOT engine oil temperature that the website said was available for the WRX. After receiving my new ScanGauge and setting up the WRX, I found that after entering the EOT X-Gauge parameters from the published manual, the EOT does not appear. I have sent an email to ScanGauge Support. They sent me an OBDII recorder to check the available sensor codes from the onboard computer. Returned the OBDII recorder to ScanGauge and they sent me some updated parameters for the EOT measurement. I updated my ScanGauge for the new EOT settings and the gauge showed a constant (invalid) value of 32. I checked again with ScanGauge support and they politely pointed out that the EOT value shown was all what was available from the on-board computer. So if you only want the standard readings (water temperature, battery voltage, RPM and other standard readings) from your ScanGauge 2, great. I wanted EOT readings and that's why I bought the ScanGauge for my WRX. I have a feeling the folks at ScanGauge are making unrealistic claims about some of the released custom X-Gauge displays that are available.
